This training event included researchers from a broad range of subjects who all have an interest in improving land use, the climate and biodiversity. I presented the objectives and some findings from the CONSOLE project which showed how contracts can be applied to many disciplines of environmental studies. I highlighted how the knowledge of scientists and engineers helps us understand how he can respond to environmental pressures and the findings of CONSOLE are important for incentivising land managers to act in accordance with scientific findings for more sustainable land use.
