Forestry students (64) from University of Eastern Finland, Helsinki University and Karelia University of Applied Sciences participated for Forest policy day. Part of the program dealt with multiple use of forests as a challenge in forest policy and the new contract types to provide environmental benefits.
Students got prereading material from Console project. Based on the prereading, they were able to pose questions and give comments beforehand. During the lecture, basic idea of four contract types was presented with examples, some results of landowner and stakeholder surveys and thoughts from stakeholder workshops related to four contract types. After the hybrid lecture (face-to-face and virtual), questions and comments were discussed together.
